Catalogue & Index (ISSN: 2399-9667) is the periodical of CILIP Metadata & Discovery Group. It has been published since 1966 to discuss the organisation of knowledge to enable resource discovery and collection management, including articles on cataloguing, indexing, metadata, national and international standards and formats.

Usually published several times a year it has been open access since 2016. Articles may range from brief reports of a few hundred words to longer pieces of several thousand words.

We are in the process of transferring the journal to a new platform. Current issues are available there, while back issues are only accessible via the link below until they have been migrated.
