Hi, I'm currently working towards my Chartership and looking into reading for wellbeing as part of the Wider Context criterion. I'm a mental health first aider at the school where I work, and also a menopause champion, and the mental wellbeing of both staff and students is a big part of my role - I've created a quiet room for staff, with a dedicated wellbeing library, and have created and expanded the Health and Wellbeing section for students, with texts specific to teens. The library also hosts weekly staff and student mindfulness sessions. I have spoken with our school counsellor about 'reading for wellbeing' and she made an excellent point in that it can't just be any book, as so many books, particularly YA, contain triggering content, which suggests it needs to be a more tailored approach rather than a one-size-fits-all. I was wondering if anyone from outside the school library environment can offer me any info/advice on this - I'm particularly interested in bibliotherapy... Thanks!

Hi everyone. I’m the Senior Library Assistant at the Exeter Health Library. I’m trying to increase the relevance of the books that I purchase for our users. Has anyone done a project lately to solicit user feedback or evaluate collection data? I’d love to hear about your experiences. Thank you!

Hello, I work as a Research Librarian at a consumer healthcare company and we are keen to find out what services similar types of library offer to colleagues in terms of literature searches, current awareness etc. I would be very happy to share what we currently offer as a library service, what seems to work and what doesn't etc. Happy to discuss off thread if preferred.

Hi,
I am currently looking into how I can improve on my delivery of information literacy at my school. I was hoping that some librarians from other sectors might have some advice on how they tackle this issue and if there's anything your organisation does to combat misinformation? Any advice would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Hannah

Hi all,
I am a secondary school librarian. I have recently been putting together a new section in the library for books surrounding neurodiversity and disability, aiming to provide resources for students with special education needs. I also have a separate section for self-help books on mental health. I'm struggling to decide on what to call this section of the library as obviously 'Special Education Needs' covers a lot of bases, and I was just wondering if anyone had any suggestions?
Thank you.

Good morning all,
I am a secondary school library undertaking my Prof. Reg. Chartership and I'm looking at Area 3 - The Wider Context. I'm looking to connect with individuals working outside of school libraries to discuss any changes you have made, or are thinking of making, to the classification of books about autism and ADHD. I was involved in a discussion about this on a Secondary School Librarian group that I am part of, but didn't think to look further afield. I'm not looking to challenge anyone, but rather want to make sure I am being inclusive with our cataloguing and classification, especially as we have students who are going through different stages of the diagnosis process and have different levels of understanding and acceptance of this. I want to ensure that the language we are using and the classifications we are using are not offensive or alienating to our students.
Please let me know if you would like to discuss.
Many thanks,
Tiffany

Is anyone from this going to MLA/SLA '23?
It's being held in Detroit, Michigan this year.
I'll be attending a number of Systematic Review sessions.

Hello everyone,
I will be starting a new job soon at an assistive technology library. They want to look into a new LMS system. Does anyone have any suggestions for a system that works well with equipment?
Thank you for your sharing your expertise!

Hi Everyone.
I am a librarian supporting the Health Sciences students at the Singapore Institute of Technology. Does anyone else have problems with the difference between Reports and Studies in the Included section of the PRISMA 2020 flow diagram?
I have read all the documentation I can find but I still feel the explanations in my infographic need work https://libguides.singaporetech.edu.sg/ld.php?content_id=49703080
Looking forward to hearing from other Health Sciences librarians.
Rgds
