Cyril Barnard Memorial Prize

Established in 1962 and named after the medical library librarian Cyril Cuthbert Barnard, this prize is awarded by the Health Libraries Group Committee in recognition of outstanding services to medical librarianship.  Read more about Cyril Cuthbert Barnard here.  Nominations closed on the 31st March 2024 for the Cyril Barnard Memorial Prize for 2024.  The recipient will be announced and presented with their prize at our conference in June 2024.

Lynsey Hawker (Co-Chair of HLG) read out the citation and presented the Cyril Barnard Memorial Prize to Tom Roper for his outstanding contribution to medical librarianship.
