MSc/MA dissertation bursaries
These bursaries provide an excellent opportunity for Library and Information Science MSc/MA students to present their postgraduate research at a conference and/or to publish an article highlighting their postgraduate research activity. They are open to any postgraduate student registered at a UK school or department of librarianship, information studies, information science, knowledge management or information management running courses accredited by CILIP.
Details: UKeiG will award £250 to one student per relevant higher education institution [there are a total 14 of these] to encourage this to happen. All research articles must be published in a scholarly open access publication and featured in UKeiG’s online journal eLucidate. The MA/MSc dissertation should also be published in an Open Access repository at their institution or in a discipline depository, eg E-LIS (http://eprints.rclis.org/)
UKeiG reserve the right not to award a particular nomination.
Process: To apply, Heads of Department or course leaders are invited to nominate dissertations for consideration, emailing UKeiG an abstract, including title, methodology and research outcomes. One side of A4 would suffice, with details of the student, course and affiliation.
