The skills I would need to develop and practise are …
Things I could do to ensure that I make time for reflection are …
The people who could help me develop as a leader are …
The people around me who I could help to develop as leaders are …
The values I want to hold onto are …
The things I most want to change in my organisation are …
The single most important thing I will do next week to put myself on the path to achieve these things is …

This will provide you with the key points that you want to take forward.
As you turn these into an action plan it will be useful to:

            - Be realistic – do not compile a list that is too long and, therefore, daunting

            - Identify a few “quick wins” – things that you can do soon and where you, and others, can see a difference

            - Identify someone – your manager, a colleague, a mentor – who will support you to follow through on your actions

Remember that self-development is a continuous process. It never ends! Some of the things you want to achieve might need time that you don’t have at the moment – but if you’ve written them down, you can go back to them when the time is right.
