K&IM SIG AGM - 17 June 2021 

The K&IM SIG Annual General Meeting will take place remotely on 17 June from 4:00 - 5:00 pm (UK time) as part of our K&IM Professionals week. Attendance at the AGM is free to all members of the K&IM Group. Professionals Week events are free to all members of CILIP.

We are very pleased that Paul Corney, CILIP President, member of the BSI committee which developed ISO KM Standard 30401 and joint author of the KM Cookbook will be joining us to discuss "Skills to future proof Knowledge and Information Managers". In his address Paul will draw on hi co-authored column (featuring James Robertson and Martin White) in Information Professional and the KM Cookbook to identify some of the basic skills Knowledge and Information Management professionals will need to succeed in a hybrid working environment.

Notice of K&IM SIG AGM for 3rd June 2020 (postponed from 16th March 2020)

The K&IM SIG Annual General Meeting will now take place remotely using Zoom on 3 June from 12.00 – 13.00. The AGM is open to all of our members.

We are very pleased that Nick Poole, CEO of CILIP, will be joining us. He will explore CILIP's ambition to become the natural professional home for K&IM practitioners. He will explore recent developments including KM Chartership and the findings of the sector-wide Membership Research project. Drawing on these, he will explore how the CILIP and the K&IM SIG can collaborate to ensure that the needs of K&IM professionals are central to CILIP's future strategy."

CANCELLED: K&IM SIG AGM on 16th March 2020(TO BE RE-SCHEDULED)

It is with huge sadness and regret that we have to announce the cancellation of this event next Monday. We have been keeping a keen eye on events over the past fortnight and, in light of the current COVID-19 situation, with delegates, contributors and committee members reporting difficulties with attending due to changing organisational travel rules and concerns regarding vulnerable family and friends, we have had to take the extremely difficult decision to postpone this event.

2019

The K&IM AGM was held on 7th February 2019 at CILIP HQ, 7 Ridgmount Street, London.

The (non-approved) minutes can be found here. 

Note: At the 2017 AGM we accepted a motion to extend the period to the next AGM to over 12 months (but under the 16 months specified in the CILIP SIG Regulations), in order to move the AGM date from the year-end. Consequently there was no AGM in 2018.
