The School Libraries Group (SLG) is an active, welcoming and collaborative community of people working in school libraries and related disciplines. We work in partnership with CILIP to promote the role of School Libraries
and School Librarians in the UK and in international schools.
SLG affirms that school libraries and school library services are fundamental to the development of a literate population able to participate fully in a thriving democracy, contributing to both its culture and economy.
The SLG is therefore fully committed to enabling its members to achieve and maintain the highest professional standards, encouraging and supporting them in the delivery and promotion of high quality library and information
services responsive to the needs of users, and providing CPD to facilitate these aims.
