eLucidate is the journal of the UK electronic information Group. It is published three times per volume, around winter, spring and summer. It aims to keep members up to date with developments and innovations in the digital information industry, considering the impact on information professionals and consumers of e-information.

Our membership is eclectic and includes information professionals at all levels of the UK workforce involved in digital content management and awareness, information dissemination, training and service delivery. 

The UKeiG demographic comprises academia, but also the private, commercial and public sectors, embracing schools, further and higher education, the NHS, healthcare and pharmaceutical industries, science, law, finance, arts, humanities, archives, museums and libraries. 

UKeiG encourages the submission of articles, reports and reviews about any of the topics covered by the journal. These include electronic resource awareness, information management, digital/information literacy, effective information retrieval and search technologies, intranets, social media, open access, e-publishing and e-industry research and development.

eLucidate - Current issue and Archive

Go to the eLucidate website for access to the current issue and the entire sixteen year run of back issues.

The archive can be searched and downloaded on an article by article basis. You can also register to receive notifications of new content and publications. Just click on the ‘Register’ button at the top-right of the eLucidate home page and tick the box: ‘Yes, I would like to be notified of new publications and announcements’ near the bottom of the screen.

Open Access Publishing platform

eLucidate is published using the Public Knowledge Project’s Open Journal Systems (OJS) hosted by the University of Alberta.

PKP is a multi-university initiative developing free open source software and conducting research to improve the quality and reach of scholarly publishing.

Open Journal Systems (OJS) is an open source software application for managing and publishing scholarly articles and issues online. Originally developed and released by PKP in 2001 to improve access to research, it is a widely used open source international journal publishing platform.

The eLucidate web page includes a privacy statement, open access policy and a code of ethics for authors. 

Authors are now able make online submissions to eLucidate. You will first need to register a user account with the journal and log in. Start the process by clicking on the ‘Register’ button at the top-right of the home page.
