CILIP Professional Knowledge and Skills Base (PKSB) for Health: The PKSB for Health outlines the broad range of skills required by librarians, information and knowledge professionals working in health. This version has been enriched with the addition of examples from a health setting throughout.

Coursera: Coursera provides access to over 600 free e-learning courses including marketing, social media and IT related courses.

The Digital Garage: Free tutorials from Google are available on everything from search engines, online marketing social media and beyond. You can choose the topics you want to learn, or complete the whole online course for a certification from Google and IAB Europe.

The Learning Zone:  The Learning Zone signposts healthcare librarians and knowledge specialists to key online resources to support their professional and personal development. It is part of the Workforce Planning and Development work stream to implement  Knowledge for Healthcare, Health Education England’s development framework for NHS library and knowledge services in England 2015-2020

Open Education Database:  The Open Education Database includes over 10,000 courses in different subjects including arts, science, computing, maths, medicine and more produced by universities.

NHS Leadership Academy:  Leadership development courses available from the NHS Leadership Academy.

Institute of Leadership and Management: Leadership and management development courses available from the Institute of Leadership and Management.

Business balls: Free career help, business training, organisational development  e.g. SWOT analysis, project management etc.  Available from this website are inspirational, innovative ideas, materials, exercises, tools, templates.  All are free and fun.

Mind tools: Free and low cost online management and leadership tools.
