CILIP Ireland is a devolved body of CILIP and is made up of members residing in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. We are administered by a voluntary committee and supported by our Relationship Manager, Gerardine Blee who is a member of CILIP
staff. Our key objectives are to:
Build influence among key decision makers in government and advocate on behalf of the profession as the voice of CILIP at a local level;
Support CILIP Ireland members to develop their professional skills and standards;
Create a sense of community amongst members in this region.
The Committee, in so far as is possible, represents all sectors from which our members are derived. Under the CILIP Ireland Constitution, ratified at the 2015 AGM, one third of the roles on the Committee must be vacated each year and persons elected
to fill the posts. Any current CILIP Ireland member is eligible to stand for election to the Committee and each year, ahead of our AGM, members are notified of posts to be filled.
The Committee meets throughout the year and CILIP Ireland members are welcome to come along and observe a Committee meeting. For more information please contact the Relationship Manager Gerardine Blee (gerardine.blee@cilip.org.uk).
