CILIP Ireland and the Library Association of Ireland have just launched an exciting all-island Virtual Mentoring Network. This is a collaboration to enable library and information professionals to share knowledge and support across the island of Ireland.

We have established our Mentoring Programme as a way of demonstrating our commitment to members' development - personally and professionally.

 

Each virtual mentorship runs for 6 months and discussions are confidential. At the beginning of the process mentees are allocated a mentor and communications take place once a month for the duration of the scheme.

The virtual mentoring network provides an opportunity to engage in leadership conversations with mentors at any stage in your career, facilitating a new or different prospective alongside helpful insights, guidance and support.

Active and successful mentoring partnerships are already taking place. There is a wide range of mentors from all sectors.
