LAI / CILIP Ireland Joint Annual Conference and Exhibition 2019

CILIP Ireland is delighted to offer a bursary to 1 delegate to attend the LAI/CILIP Ireland Joint Annual Conference and Exhibition 2019.

Held in Naas, Co. Kildare from 10th to 11th April 2019, the Joint Conference offers an excellent opportunity to listen, discuss and debate, meet and network with other information workers, be inspired by keynote speakers and participate in practical workshops. It allows for the development of new skills, and has a positive impact on your continuing professional development and Professional Knowledge and Skills Base (PKSB).

With the main conference theme of ‘Inclusive Libraries’, there is something for everyone and plenty of opportunity to be involved.For further information and to keep up to date with the conference as it develops, follow the link or look on twitter for the hashtag #LAICILIPIre19.

This bursary is offered to CILIP Ireland members and is intended to offer assistance to further professional development. The bursary will cover the following:
• A complimentary place as a full delegate at the Joint Conference, covering 10th and 11th April, at the early bird rate. The place covers the cost of attending the conference sessions and exhibition, all conference materials, tea and coffee breaks and lunch throughout the conference. It also includes the drinks reception and gala dinner.
• 1 night accommodation on 10th April, single bed rate.

The bursary does not include travel expenses, additional accommodation or other hospitality.

• You must be a CILIP Ireland member
• You must be able to attend on both days of the conference, 10th and 11th April.
• You will be expected to write a short conference report reflecting on and developing ideas generated by the conference, rather than the experience of attending the conference. This report will be submitted to Information Professional and An Leabharlann to be considered for inclusion in the next issue after the Conference. If unsuccessful for inclusion, it will be circulated to CILIP Ireland members.
• You will be expected to share thoughts on the conference throughout the two days via social media e.g. CILIP Ireland twitter account.
