CILIP Ireland are delighted to announce the second year of partnership with the Library Association of Ireland to support the Library Staff Champion Award 2021.

As part of Library Ireland Week, staff working in libraries across Northern Ireland and Ireland are invited to nominate a colleague for the LAI/CILIP Ireland Library Staff Champion Award.

This Award aims to recognise staff who work in any library and in any library role who inspires you and deserves recognition for their impact. There is no requirement to be a member of any organisation or have any particular professional qualification – it is open to all staff who work in any library.
The nomination process is an online form and the nominations are confidential. A shortlist of nominees will be announced after Library Ireland Week 2021 and the winner will be announced in 2022.

Nominations are easy to make. The form will ask for brief information on how your nominee has impacted their library or organisation under three headings:

1. Transformative contribution in role or organisation
2. Inspiring colleagues in organisation or sector
3. Impact at local/community, organisational or national level including collaboration

The prize for the winner is a voucher & trophy, e signature of the Award and free membership to CILIP Ireland and the LAI for a year after the Award.
