We’ll be exhibiting at this year’s CILIP Conference + Expo, on 7+8 July at Liverpool Exhibition Centre.

Come and see us on our stand to hear more about the group.

There is nothing like the CILIP annual Conference + Expo on the calendar for library and information professionals - a unique chance to be in the room with hundreds of like-minded colleagues, sharing experiences and knowledge from all sectors and gaining insight from thought-leaders.

This year’s event is truly cross-sectoral and collaborative and delegates will benefit hugely from the experiences and points of view from members of the library and information community.

For the first time three years the event will be in person and will be taking advantage of all the benefits of meeting face-to-face. Two of the programme streams will be dedicated spaces for practical workshops and collaborative discussion where delegate can share ideas and experiences and learn from each other. Discover how your colleagues are approaching the challenges of the climate crisis, tackling misinformation and censorship, exploring EDI and psychological safety in the workplace, and get involved in the consultation process around CILIP’s new Intellectual Freedom policy.

CILIP is also putting together facilitated networking sessions on different topics to make it easier for delegates to get to know each other.

The confirmed keynote speakers for this year include Sayf Al Ashqar from the University of Mosul Library, which was destroyed by ISIS in 2014. On 8 July, Professor Jacqueline McGlade, Professor of Natural Prosperity, Sustainable Development and Knowledge Systems at UCL, is the first keynote of the day. Her work has a strong focus on the many ways that societies are dependent on nature using a wide range of data and analytical techniques. Krystal Vittles is the new Deputy Director of Suffolk Libraries and brings a refreshing, future-facing outlook to the profession. They all bring something different to the event and will provide much food for thought.

See the programme and book your ticket and don’t forget to come and say hello.
