This booklet has been written in response to the Welsh Government's strategy plan Prosperity for All. It focuses on the five priorities in Prosperity for All, presenting examples of how libraries - the buildings and staff - support these and suggests future actions for development.

The suggested future actions are focal points which we would like to address collaboratively with MALD and other stakeholders, to continue to build a future proof service which will support our future generations.

This document has been written to help local and national politicians, budget holders and stakeholders in their decision-making. We urge them to endorse the recommendations in this report and to champion the role of libraries in delivering greater prosperity for Wales.

Ysgrifennwyd y llyfryn hwn mewn ymateb i gynllun strategol Llywodraeth Cymru Ffyniant i Bawb. Mae’n canolbwyntio ar y pum blaenoriaeth yn Ffyniant i Bawb, gan gyflwyno enghreifftiau o sut y mae llyfrgelloedd - yr adeiladau a'r staff - yn cefnogi'r rhain ac yn awgrymu camau gweithredu ar gyfer datblygu yn y dyfodol.
