Phil has been an internet consultant for almost 30 years. He is well known for his books on aspects of the internet, particularly search, his courses and his talks. Phil has been twice President of CILIP. He went into retirement
in 2021, but then AI technology came along and he was so interested and intrigued by it he started work again. He now spends his time playing with new tools and teaching information professionals about the practicalities of
AI and how we can use them to our best advantage.
