We are sorry to announce that we have made the difficult decision to cancel the CILIP Cymru Wales 2020 Conference which we will now deliver 13-14 May 2021 at Bangor University. In the meantime your CILIP Cymru Wales Committee is discussing ideas for online activities to keep our members engaged over the next few months. Please feel free to send your suggestions to Amy and keep an eye out for updates.

CILIP Cymru Wales Library and Information Conference 2020: A Celebration of Wales in the World, Bangor University, 14 and 15 May 2020 - the Call for Papers and Participation is now open!

CILIP Cymru Wales Cynhadledd Llyfrgelloedd a Gwybodaeth 2020: Dathlu Cymru yn y Byd, Prifysgol Bangor, 14 a 15 Mai 2020 - mae'r Gwahoddiad am Bapurau a Chyfranogiad bellach yn agored!

CILIP Cymru Wales held its Annual General Meeting in Aberystwyth on 21st November 2019. With presentations on Wikipedia and Wales, the National Library of Wales' Living Memory project, the re-launched CILIP professional registration, People's Collection Wales support for libraries, and a Superhero workshop, there were lots of reasons (not just scones!) to attend the CILIP Cymru Wales AGM. Find out more from a member's perspective or take a look at the presentations the speakers have kindly allowed us to share.

Librarians these days are expected to embrace complimentary skills in marketing, teaching, new technologies and event organizing (with little or no training). Here CILIP Cymru Wales' Relationship Manager describes the highs and lows of organizing CILIP Cymru Wales' AGM in Aberystwyth in 2019 and reflects on lessons learned.

Yasmin Noorani, Academic Support Librarian, Bangor University was awarded a CILIP Cymru Wales bursary to attend the much talked about International Library & Information Group (ILIG) Decolonisation Conference - Decolonising Library collections and practices: from understanding to impact in November 2019. She reflects here on her inspiring and challenging day in Cardiff.
