CILIP Inspiration day

A big thank you to Bethan for inviting us to this inspiration afternoon at Prestatyn Library in north Wales. Members of the CILIP Cymru Wales committee met with Managers and Supervisors of the public services. The aim of the afternoon was to welcome many of the newly appointed staff to the wider profession, gain an idea of CPD options that are available and find out about support offered in Wales, how Kathryn Parry and Paul Jeoretts careers developed in the information and professional sector, and what can be learnt from their experiences.

Here is one of the comments received after the event "As someone who has just taken up a new role as Library Service Manager and going to be studying for a CILIP qualification can I give you a big ‘THANK YOU’ for putting my mind at ease and giving me the inspiration that afternoon that I can go do this! Just got to decide which course!!"
